Grupo Xcaret history

In 1984, when starting to clear a piece of land in Riviera Maya to establish his residence, architect Miguel Quintana Pali discovered underground rivers and different cenotes. Seeing the spectacular natural beauty in this five-hectare lot, he got the idea to share it with others to appreciate it.

By partnering with brothers Oscar, Marcos, and Carlos Constandse, he sets off the creation of Xcaret park. Since its opening in December 1990, the park has been one of the essential attractions in the Mexican Caribbean. After more than 30 years, Grupo Xcaret is a leading company in sustainable and socially responsible tourism recreation.

For Grupo Xcaret, sustainability has become the axis of the company's strategic development plan. The creation of economic value in balance with the socio-cultural and environmental impact is part of the unique management style that prevails within the group.

In each park, tour or project to be undertaken, our management style has stood out worldwide, obtaining several recognitions that we proudly achieved. Either by receiving EarthCheck certifications for commitment to the environment or the Liseberg Award for Best Park in the World to Xcaret.
